We will always remember Jean's loving kindness to our family since the days of Dartmouth and then to my own family when we lived in Christchurch and they lived in Bournemouth. We spent several Christmas times with them. I was always amazed that she invited a family with three young children at Christmas when she would be so busy. I remember walks with Bonnie after lunch. We always had a happy time. In our situation it was hugely appreciated and meant a lot to us. It was like having another family. We also had happy times as children with lots of picnics together. She has been such a reassuring presence to us all and so hospitable. We will always have lovely memories of her. Our mum always treasured her friendship over so many years.
